WPForms <= 2.0.2.1 - Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via 'query_var' Smart Tag in iframe srcdoc Attribute
The WPForms – AI Form Builder for WordPress plugin is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via attacker-chosen parameters referenced by a {query_var} Smart Tag in all versions up to and including 2.0.2.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when a user is tricked into performing an action, such as clicking a malicious link. Exploitation requires that a site administrator has saved a form description embedding a {query_var} Smart Tag inside an iframe srcdoc attribute with "Show Description" enabled on a public-facing page.
